UPDATE (3:14 p.m.) – Police have released pictures and the identity of the four people arraigned on felony murder.
The suspects are Mitchell Daron Ballinger, 41, Manuel Raymond Martinex, 20, Alexis Marie Pena, 24 and Dominique Donte Harris, 20. Ballinger and Martinez are the two men who were seen on surveillance video and are accused of using Kebler’s stolen credit card at a party story in Ypsilanti. All four were arraigned on felony murder, conspiracy to commit home invasion and home invasion charges.
A probable cause hearing is scheduled for later in August. The preliminary exam is scheduled for September.
UPDATE (11:10 a.m. ) – Police have arrested four people in the death of 62-year-old Jeffrey Kebler at his Clinton County home one week ago.
Three men and one woman face murder charges in Kebler’s death which was discovered when he failed to show for work last Thursday.
At a news conference this morning Clinton County officials said money, electronics, televisions and jewelry were taken.
So far the only information on the suspects that has been released are that two of the men are 20-years old and the other is 41-years old. The woman charged is 24. Two were already in custody on unrelated charges in Ingham County. And, the other two surrendered. While all are charged with murder, it is believed two actually committed the crime.
Officials also said at the news conference they believed the homicide happened at about 2 o’clock on the morning of August 6, and Kebler’s body was found several hours later.
The suspects are believed to have used Kebler’s credit card to buy soft drinks and cookies the morning of the homicide.
ST JOHNS, MI (WLNS) – Clinton County officials have scheduled a news conference to discuss developments in the death of Jeffrey Kebler last week.
Just yesterday (Thursday) police released surveillance pictures of men they wanted to talk to in connection with the case.
Kebler was found in his home north of Grand Ledge last week after he failed to show up for work.
