LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Crime Stoppers of mid-Michigan is asking for the public’s help with two requests for assistance.
Request for assistance 1 – Around 1 a.m. on Saturday August 1, police were called to the 1100 block of South Grand Ave. in Lansing due to shots fired.
Upon arrival police found two young men had been shot while standing on the porch of the house. One of the men, 23 year old Michael McKissic was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The Lansing Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in solving this homicide.
Request for assistance 2 – Around 10 p.m. on Sunday August 2, police were called responded to an accident at the intersection on Pennsylvania and May St. in Lansing.
When officers arrived they found that a house had been hit by a car and was leaking natural gas.
Officers evacuated the surrounding houses before the house exploded and burned.
Witnesses state that the car was rear ended by a gold colored SUV while making a turn and was forced by the SUV into the house.
The Lansing Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in solving this hit and run incident.
